Insurance Information Exchange, L.L.C., (iiX) has introduced iiX InterLink, an upload/download interface solution which uses IP technology to provide fewer communication errors, better connections, and faster modem speeds. The connection can be made by way of a 3270 interactive session (approximately 40% cheaper than SNA communications) or a batch upload/download in AL3 format with APT or other management software.

iiX consultants are available to meet with insurance companies to assess how best to implement the companies' iiX InterLink connection.

For additional information contact iiX by phone at: 800-281-8787 or e-mail: information@iix.com

Strategic Insurance Software, Inc., (S.I.S.) is now telemarketing the latest version of its SEMCI Partner agency management system directly to independent agents. Until now, it had been marketed through company relationships.

Version 3.0 includes an insurance object platform (IOP) which supports both AL3 and AL4 ACORD standards as well as APT for interface and communications. IOP permits agencies to interface with the companies' choice of networks--IVANS, the Internet, or direct company "point to point" access.

This expanded flexibility also enables agencies to send and receive "traditional" policy data as well as voice, pictures, MVRs, and other "non-traditional" data.
