ISO FORM AND ENDORSEMENT CHANGES

Approved by individual states through September 2000

COUNTRYWIDE

Commercial Property Coverage Part Changes

In January of this year, ISO filed a multistate revision of forms and endorsements applicable to the Commercial Property Coverage Part. The revisions are to the Coverage and Causes of Loss Forms as well as to endorsements. While the changes are too extensive to cover in this article, here are some highlights:

Changes to policy forms

Earth Movement--the definition has been totally revised in the hope of clearly explaining the different aspects of this cause of loss such as earthquake, landslides, sinking and subsidence.

Water Damage--cause of loss was clarified regarding the intent to cover discharge from appliances, but not to cover water damage from drains, gutters, downspouts, etc.

Valuable Papers--clarified that the coverage does not extend to prepackaged software.

Weight of Ice, Snow and Sleet--coverage clarified.

Property In Transit--insurance limit is increased from $1,000 to $5,000.

Neglect Exclusion--newly introduced to emphasize duty to protect property after a loss.

Loss of Earnings--daily limit increased from $100 to $250.

Increased Cost of Construction--coverage revised so it can respond to cost of building code upgrades.

Replacement Cost Optional Coverage--clarified that coverage doesn't include personal property not owned by an insured, but tenant improvements/betterments are not considered to be property of others.

Newly Acquired or Constructed Property--extensive revisions.

Debris Removal--provisions revised, included examples to illustrate coverage.

Personal Effects and Property of Others--coverage revised to include limited liability companies.

Loss Payment Condition--clarification of how valuation of lost or damaged property is determined.

Non-Owned Trailer--new automatic coverage ($5,000) for non-owned trailers.

Vacancy Provision--clarification of required occupancy.

Property Off-Premises--coverage broadened.

Deductible Clause--revised to coordinate with policy's Coinsurance Condition.

Collapse Coverage--collapse definition clarified.

Inspection and Surveys Condition--revised to consider various regulations affecting inspection of certain equipment such as boilers or elevations.

Time Element--coverage forms revised to consider parts of insured premises occupied by tenants, to include a definition of "suspension" and to clarify coverage periods affected by suspended coverage.

Business Income--revised to properly value the business income exposure of manufacturers.

Extra Expense--revisions involved alterations and new buildings, newly acquired locations and period of indemnity.

Extended Period of Indemnity--clarified.

Legal Liability Coverage Form--clarified.

Glass Coverage--withdrew the CP 00 15 Glass Coverage Form and revised policy wording to add limited glass breakage coverage.

Changes to endorsements

Assorted changes were made to a wide variety of optional endorsements including the introduction of the CP 10 65 Flood Coverage Endorsement.

Declarations and Schedules

ISO revised its format to introduce a new category of forms, "DS," that applies to the Commercial Property program's declarations and schedules.

Commercial Liability Program Introduced

ISO has made a multistate change to its Commercial Program. ISO has made commercial umbrella liability coverage available for its participating companies to file independently. The program rules and forms are available effective November 1, 2000.

Listed below under the individual states are those that have approved the above changes. The text will not be repeated but will refer back to this Countrywide section.

ALABAMA

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program has been approved with an Alabama specific provision effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Alabama form CU 01 09 09 00, Condominiums was added which amends the policy's subrogation provisions to account for condo ownership.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

Homeowners--Special Provisions-Alabama, HO 01 01 09 00 has been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies effective October 1, 2000. This form was revised in response to Former S.B. 348 which prohibits an insurer from denying a property loss claim by an innocent co-insured that involves an act of domestic abuse. This form does allow an insurer to seek recovery for damages paid from a responsible party.

ALASKA

Dwelling Liability--Special Provisions--Alaska, DL 01 54 11 00 has been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies effective December 1, 2000. This form was revised in response to Alaska Statutes Chapter 36-21.220-(a) and (c) which requires an insurer to send legal notice of cancellation to an insured's designee. This requirement applies only when an insured is 70 years of age or older and makes a designation in writing. The form also specifies that, under certain conditions, any unearned premium will be returned no later than 45 days from the cancellation date.

Homeowners--Special Provisions-Alaska, HO 01 54 11 00 has been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies effective December 1, 2000. This form was revised in response to Alaska Statutes Chapter 36-21.220-(a) and (c) which requires an insurer to send legal notice of cancellation to an insured's designee. Changes Made by Individual States
ARIZONA

Commercial Auto--CA 21 39 11 00-Arizona Uninsured Motorists Coverage and CA 21 40 11 00-Arizona Underinsured Motorists Coverage have been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies effective January 1, 2001. The forms changed the Who Is An Insured provision and the Additional Definitions section in response to Nabor v. Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. The changes clarify the status of insureds operating a non-owned auto.

Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program including a specific Arizona provision has been approved in Arizona and has been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies effective December 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Arizona form IL 02 58 09 00, Arizona Changes-Cancellation and Nonrenewal was revised to include a reference to the new Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part.

Personal Auto--PP 01 67 01 01, Amendment of Policy Provisions-Arizona has been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies effective January 1, 2001. The form was revised in response to former S.B. 1130 and Arizona Department of Insurance Circular Letter 2000-3. While an insurer may nonrenew for certain accidents, the accidents must have taken place while being covered by the company choosing to nonrenew.

ARKANSAS

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

COLORADO

Commercial Auto--CA 22 03 06 00, Colorado Personal Injury Protection and CA 22 61 06 00, Colorado Optional Basic Personal Injury Protection-Individual Named Insured have been approved and carry a distribution date of December 2000. The forms were revised in response to former H.B. 1239. The revised forms include a new definition for the term, "converter." This term refers to a person who uses an automobile without authorization. Further, the forms' schedules were changed to show coverage limits that conform with the position taken by the Colorado Division of Insurance.

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program including a specific Colorado provision has been approved and carries a distribution date of November 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Colorado forms CU 01 17 09 00 Colorado Changes-Underlying Claims-Made Coverage and CU 01 46 09 00 Colorado Changes-Representations Or Fraud were introduced.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved and will be made available to insurers with a distribution date of January 2001.

CONNECTICUT

Businessowners--BP 02 11 02 01 Connecticut Changes-Cancellation And Nonrenewal has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after February 1, 2001. The form was revised in response to the repeal of Connecticut Insurance Department Regulation 38a-393-1. The revision removes the reference to cancellation and nonrenewal provisions involving policies which contain coverage for professional liability.

DELAWARE

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program has been approved with a Delaware-specific provision for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Delaware form CU 02 16 09 00-Delaware Cancellation Changes was created. This form amends the policy to conform with the state's cancellation and nonrenewal requirements.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

FLORIDA

Dwelling Liability--DL 98 83 11 00, Personal Umbrella Liability Policy Excess Uninsured Motorists Coverage-Florida has been approved and carries a distribution date of November 2000. The form was revised in response to the Supreme Court of Florida ruling in Young v. Progressive Southeastern Ins. Co. The revised form no longer contains a reference to vehicles operated by a self-insurer as an exception under the "uninsured motor vehicle" definition.

GEORGIA

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Georgia-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Georgia forms CU 01 48 09 00, Georgia Changes and CU 02 22 09 00 Georgia Changes-Cancellation And Nonrenewal have been created. The forms were created to reflect the state's requirements concerning fraud and termination of coverage.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

ILLINOIS

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Illinois-specific provisions have been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after December 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Illinois forms CU 01 13 09 00, Illinois Changes-Condominiums, CU 02 00 09 00 Illinois Changes-Cancellation And Nonrenewal, CU 22 55 09 00 Illinois Changes-Pollution Exclusion-Hostile Fire Exception and CU 27 05 09 00 Illinois Changes-Underlying Claims-Made Coverage were created. These forms reflect the state's requirements concerning claims-made policies, losses involving hostile fire, subrogation and termination of coverage.

Personal Auto--PP 04 86 01 01, Property Damage Uninsured Motorists Coverage-Illinois has been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001. This form was revised in response to 2000 Ill. Laws 91-0749 (former S.B. 1617) which requires a personal auto policy to provide coverage for a child restraint system that is damaged in an auto accident.

INDIANA

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Indiana-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Indiana forms CU 01 39 09 00, Indiana Changes, CU 31 05 09 00 Indiana Excess Uninsured Motorists Coverage, CU 31 06 09 00 Indiana Excess Underinsured Motorists Coverage and CU 31 07 09 00 Split Excess Uninsured and Underinsured Motorists Coverage Limits were introduced. The forms were created to reflect the state-specific treatment of fraud, termination of coverage, losses involving pollutants, triggers for UM and UIM coverage, duties in the event of loss, arbitration, subrogation, handling split insurance limits, definitions and other insurance.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

IOWA

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with an Iowa-specific provision has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Iowa form CU 02 20 09 00, Iowa Changes-Cancellation And Nonrenewal was created to reflect the state's requirements concerning termination of coverage.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

KANSAS

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Kansas-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Kansas forms CU 01 33 09 00, Kansas Changes-Representations Or Fraud and CU 02 10 09 00 Kansas Changes-Cancellation And Nonrenewal were created to reflect the state's requirements concerning fraud and termination of coverage.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

KENTUCKY

Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with a Kentucky-specific provision has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Kentucky form IL 02 63 09 00, Kentucky Changes-Cancellation And Nonrenewal was revised to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part. This form reflects the state's requirements concerning termination of coverage.

Commercial Auto--CA 22 16 11 00-Kentucky Personal Injury Protection has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after January 1, 2001. This form was revised in response to Kentucky legislation, the position of the Kentucky Department of Insurance and to Miller v. United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co., 909 S.W. 2d. 339. The revised form reflects the state's requirements to:

* allow licensed ambulance services as an allowable medical expense

* under certain circumstances, provide reparations to occupants of a bus involved in an accident outside of Kentucky

* properly cite Kentucky Revised Statutes Chapter 304, Subtitle 39

* include wording that, when required by a court order, an insured must submit to a mental or physical exam.

Personal Auto--PP 05 70 11 00-Personal Injury Protection--Kentucky has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. This form was revised in response to Kentucky legislation, the position of the Kentucky Department of Insurance and to Miller v. United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co., 909 S.W. 2d. 339. The revised form reflects the state's requirements to:

* allow licensed ambulance services as an allowable medical expense

* under certain circumstances, provide reparations to occupants of a bus involved in an accident outside of Kentucky

* certify that the form's language meets readability standards and

* include wording that, when required by a court order, an insured must submit to a mental or physical exam.

LOUISIANA

Dwelling Liability--Special Provisions-Louisiana, DL 25 17 09 00 has been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies effective October 1, 2000. This form was revised to comply with Commissioner of Insurance Directive 152. The revised form no longer includes a reference to a special limit of liability applying to losses involving parental vicarious liability.

Homeowners--Special Provisions-- Louisiana, HO 01 17 09 00 has been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies effective October 1, 2000. This form was revised to comply with Commissioner of Insurance Directive 152. The revised form no longer includes a reference to a special limit of liability applying to losses involving parental vicarious liability.

MAINE

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

MARYLAND

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Maryland-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after January 1, 2001. To accommodate writing this program, Maryland forms CU 01 09 09 00, Condominiums, CU 01 30 09 00 Maryland Changes, CU 01 38 09 00 Maryland Changes-District Of Columbia Employees Using Autos In Government Business and CU 02 01 09 00 Maryland Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal were created. These forms reflect the state's requirements concerning insured condo associations, fraud, government employee auto use, and termination of coverage.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after March 1, 2001.

MASSACHUSETTS

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, the following forms do not apply in Massachusetts:

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Michigan specific provisions has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, CU 01 16 09 00, Michigan Changes, CU 01 20 09 00 Michigan Changes--Exclusion Of Specific Accidents, Products, Work Or Locations, CU 02 21 09 00 Michigan Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal, CU 22 26 09 00 Emergency Vehicles--Volunteer Firefighters' And Workers' Injuries Exclusion Buyback, and CU 22 45 09 00 Michigan Truckers--Insurance For Non-Trucking Use have been introduced. These forms reflect a variety of state-specific requirements and coverage concerns. Further, the following forms do not apply in Michigan:

Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with a Mississippi-specific provision has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after December 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Mississippi form IL 02 82 09 00, Mississippi Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal was revised to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part. This form reflects the state's requirements concerning termination of coverage.

MISSOURI

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Missouri specific provisions has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Missouri forms CU 01 09 09 00 Condominiums,
CU 01 36 09 00 Missouri Changes, CU 01 40 09 00 Missouri Changes--Pollution Exclusion, CU 01 41 09 00 Missouri Changes--Auto Repair Shops And Gasoline Risks--Pollution Exclusion, and CU 02 05 09 00 Missouri Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal have been introduced. These forms reflect a variety of state-specific requirements and coverage concerns.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

Employment-Related Practices Liability--EP 01 10 12 00 Missouri Changes has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after December 1, 2000. This form was revised in response to Missouri Department of Insurance Bulletin 98-04 which requires that salaries of insurance company employees not be included with legal defense costs.

Homeowners--HO 01 24, Special Provisions Missouri, has been approved for use by participating insurers for all policies written on or after February 1, 2001. The form was revised to include an exception to the Intentional Loss Exclusion, so it is not applied to an innocent co-insured for losses involving domestic violence. However the innocent co-insured must file a police report and give written notification of intent to cooperate in any criminal prosecution of the party causing the loss. The form's subrogation provision was also revised.

MONTANA

Commercial Liability Umbrella and Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Montana-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Montana forms CU 01 43 09 00, Montana Changes--Representations Or Fraud, CU 02 07 09 00 Montana Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal were introduced and IL 01 67 09 00 was revised. These forms reflect a variety of state-specific requirements and coverage concerns and the IL form was changed to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

NEBRASKA

Commercial Property, Commercial Inland Marine, Commercial Multiple Line and Farm-BP 01 12 07 00 Nebraska Changes, CM 01 25 07 00 Nebraska Changes, CP 01 24 07 00 Nebraska Changes and FP 01 55 07 00 Nebraska Changes have been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after December 1, 2000. These forms were revised to comply with Nebraska Regulation 60-008 which requires insurers to notify claimants of the status of a claim within 15 days of receiving settlement information or a proof of loss.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

NEVADA

Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with a Nevada-specific provision has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Nevada form IL 02 51 09 00, Nevada Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal was revised to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part. This form reflects the state's requirements concerning termination of coverage.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

NEW JERSEY

Commercial Liability Umbrella and Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with a New Jersey-specific provision has been approved and is available for use effective November 2000. To accommodate writing this program, New Jersey form CU 22 50 09 00, New Jersey--Garage Endorsement was introduced to handle the state's requirement on covering garage risks and IL 02 08 09 00 (which was approved for use on policies written on or after November 1, 2000) was revised to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

NEW MEXICO

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with New Mexico-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, CU 01 09 09 00 Condominiums and CU 02 15 09 00 New Mexico Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal have been introduced. These forms reflect the state's requirements concerning insured condo associations, and termination of coverage.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

NEW YORK

Commercial Auto--The multistate Commercial Auto Program with New York-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating insurers for policies effective on or after February 1, 2001. The changes are too numerous to explain in detail here, but they involve policy form and endorsement changes regarding coverages, definitions and editorial revisions.

Homeowners--A revised endorsement, HO 01 31 08 00, Special Provisions--New York has been approved for use by participating companies for all policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. The form was changed to comply with New York Regulation 96. The revised form's Cancellation provision includes a requirement that the insureds submit a completed anti-arson application before the policy's annual renewal date (this applies to non-owner-occupied buildings).

Personal Auto--PP 05 87 10 00, Personal Injury Protection Coverage--New York, PP 05 88 10 00, Additional Personal Injury Protection Coverage--New York and PP 05 89 10 00, Personal Injury Protection Coverage (Motorcycles)--New York have been approved and are available for use on policies effective on or after October 1, 2000. The changes were made in response to New York Insurance Department Circular Letter No. 24 (2000).

NORTH CAROLINA

Commercial Liability Umbrella and Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with North Carolina-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating companies for all policies effective on or after January 1, 2001. To accommodate writing this program, North Carolina form CU 01 09 09 00 Condominiums was introduced to handle the state's requirement on risks covering condo associations, and IL 02 69 09 00 was revised to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part.

Professional Liability--PR 27 32 05 00 North Carolina Changes--Extended Reporting Period was renumbered to PR 27 34 05 00 to correct a duplicate use of the earlier form number. The renumbered form was approved for use by participating companies for all policies effective on or after January 1, 2001, and PR 27 32 05 00 is withdrawn effective January 1, 2001.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after March 1, 2001.

NORTH DAKOTA

Commercial Liability Umbrella and Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with North Dakota-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating companies for all policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, North Dakota form CU 02 18 09 00, North Dakota Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal was introduced to handle the state's requirement on terminations. IL 01 65 09 00, North Dakota Changes--Examination Of Your Books And Records was revised to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part.

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

OHIO

Commercial Auto--CA 21 33 01 01, Ohio Uninsured Motorists Coverage--Bodily Injury endorsement will be made available for use as of January 1, 2001, under the provisions of the state's file and use law. Please refer to the ISO Circulars for full details.

PENNSYLVANIA

Commercial Liability Umbrella and Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Pennsylvania-specific provisions will be available with a distribution date of November 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Pennsylvania forms CU 01 09 09 00 Condominiums, CU 01 31 09 00 Pennsylvania Changes and CU 22 26 09 00 Emergency Vehicles--Fellow Volunteer Firefighters' And Workers' Injuries Exclusion Buyback were introduced to handle the state's requirement on risks covering condo associations, volunteer firefighters and rights of recovery. Further, having been approved for use effective November 1, 2000, IL 02 46 09 00--Pennsylvania Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal was revised to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part and IL 09 10--Pennsylvania Notice was extended for use with this new Coverage Part.

Further, having been approved for use effective November 1, 2000, IL 01 28 09 00--Rhode Island Changes--Prejudgment Interest and IL 01 97 09 00--Rhode Island Changes were revised to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part.

SOUTH CAROLINA

Commercial Liability Umbrella--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with South Carolina-specific provisions has been approved and will be effective on all policies written on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, CU 02 12 09 00, South Carolina Changes--Cancellation And Nonrenewal has been introduced to reflect the state's requirements concerning termination of coverage.

Dwelling Liability--The multistate Personal Umbrella Policy Program is now available for interested companies to independently adopt. The forms will carry a June 1998 edition date.

SOUTH DAKOTA

Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program has been approved for use by participating companies for all policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. VIRGINIA

Commercial Multiple Line--A combination of 12/92, 01/96 and 01/97 editions of the multistate Businessowners Program has been approved for use by participating companies for all policies effective on or after January 1, 2001. A host of new endorsements has been introduced and withdrawn with this extensive revision. Please refer to the ISO Circular, Individual Changes section for complete coverage details.

Dwelling Liability--DL 24 48 09 00, Personal Injury--Washington was approved and is available for use on policies written effective on or after December 1, 2000. The form was introduced in response to Kitsap County V. Allstate, 964 P.2.d 1173. The form includes explicit wording to exclude coverage for loss caused by pollutants under the Personal Injury coverage.

WISCONSIN

Commercial Property--The program changes referred to in the Countrywide section have been approved for participating insurers for all policies written on or after January 1, 2001.

WYOMING

Commercial Liability Umbrella and Commercial Lines--The multistate Commercial Liability Umbrella Program with Wyoming-specific provisions has been approved for use by participating companies for policies effective on or after November 1, 2000. To accommodate writing this program, Wyoming forms CU 01 12 09 00, Wyoming Changes and CU 01 37 09 00 Wyoming Changes--Federal Employees Using Autos In Government Business were introduced to handle various state requirements including covering autos used in government business. Further, IL 02 52 09 00 Wyoming Changes--Cancellation and Nonrenewal was revised to include a reference to the Commercial Liability Umbrella Coverage Part.
