ACORD recently honored a host of companies and solution providers for their ACORD XML and EDI standards implementation efforts.

The Early Adopters of the XML specification last year was the basis for this year's "Implementation Champions" award. Thirty-two companies were recognized as winners this year. (To view the complete list, visit www.acord.org and click on News and Resources.)

Leaders in AL3 implementations were also honored. Applied Systems, Inc., won the Upload Vendor of the Year for Total Implementations for the seventh consecutive year, and the Download Vendor of the Year for Total Implementations for the eighth consecutive year. Applied won an additional implementation award this year for Percent of Growth in the Upload category.

Safeco won the Download Company of the Year for Total Implementations award for the seventh time.

The Hartford received Upload Company of the Year for Total Implementations honors.

Liberty Regional Agency Markets won the Upload Company of the Year for Percent of Growth award.

The Download Vendor of the Year for Percent of Growth was North American Software Associates.

Mutual of Enumclaw was named Download Company of the Year for Percent of Growth.

The awards were presented at the ninth annual ACORD Technology Conference held in Orlando in late May.


AMS Holding Group, a leading provider of software and information services to the property/casualty insurance industry, has announced the promotion of Euan C. Menzies to the position of chief executive officer.

Menzies is president and chief operating officer of AMS Holding Group, and has been the acting CEO since February. He is also CEO of Allenbrook, one of four business units that comprise AMS Holding Group.

Prior to joining AMS Holding Group in September 2000, Menzies was chairman and CEO of iClick, an intranet-based software and services business specializing in productivity solutions for human resources, benefits and payroll processes within Fortune 500 companies.

Priority Data Systems and AMS Services, Inc., announce integration between Priority's Windows-based rating programs (PriorityRate Auto and Home) and AMS Services' Sagitta and AfW management systems.

The first product will offer two-way integration for personal auto and homeowners lines of business between AMS Sagitta Browser and the PriorityRate system. Integration with AfW will be available in the future.

In another arrangement, AMS Services, Inc., and Multico Rating Systems Inc., have signed an agreement to integrate AMS strategic management systems (AfW, AfW Online, Prime 2000, Sagitta Browser) with Multico's Personal Lines Comparative Raters. One-way integration with Prime 2000 exists today. Two-way integration will be rolled out for AfW; Sagitta Browser and two-way integration for Prime 2000 will follow later.

Priority Data Systems announces their rating agreement with ChannelPoint. Priority will be converting ChannelPoint personal lines users in the states of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas and Washington to the Windows-based desktop comparative rating system, Priority Rate for auto and home.

ChannelPoint users will be converted at no additional cost to current users. In addition, Priority will provide free installation and training to all agency staff members.
