Networked Insurance Agents
If your agency is interested in doing business with companies to whom vigorous growth is important—you’re not alone—then Networked Insurance Agents™ will welcome your inquiry. Networked specializes in providing small to mid-sized agencies with Professional Account Placement™ solutions and access to preferred A rated carriers in standard and specialty lines.
Founded in 1992, Networked’s agency list now totals more than 1,000 affiliated member agencies which are supplied with Professional Account Placement solutions and with the broadest product lines available in the industry. Since 2004, Networked’s agency membership total has doubled. Growth in premium volume over the past five years is 29% annually.
Networked Insurance Agents assists agencies in building their businesses and expanding their market access while allowing those agencies to retain ownership and remain independent. Among the major product lines Networked provides its affiliate agencies are small, middle market and large commercial lines; workers compensation; farm and agribusiness; personal lines; professional liability; program management; and excess and surplus lines. Personal lines and small commercial lines are supported by Web-based, real-time, single entry, multiple-carrier technology compatible with industry standard quoting and policy issuance systems—NLinkPL™ and NLinkCL™.
“Networked Insurance Agents delivers products through a dynamic distribution system that features a disciplined agency selection process, detailed annual business planning, and sophisticated marketing, sales and communication platforms,” says Rick Quagliaroli, chairman and CEO of Strongwood Insurance Holdings which purchased Networked in 2002. “Beginning in 2003 we established a western sales footprint and now operate in 10 western states.”
In addition to Quagliaroli, other members of the senior management team are President Lee Johnson, an original founder; Brent Humes, chief operating officer; Jim Simmons, VP of Sales; Marketing VP Rich Ulery; and John Erickson, VP of Programs and liaison with Target Markets. All have extensive insurance industry experience with major carriers and brokerage firms.
The Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA), itself a major benefactor of networking for its membership, has given Networked a fresh view of program opportunities within the insurance industry. “TMPAA clearly helps us build relationships with other program administrators writing program business,” says John Erickson, vice-president of programs. “Through TMPAA we have received and shared helpful information regarding insurance products and have become acquainted with unique marketing ideas and program underwriting skills. The Association is a great forum for helping its members specialize, concentrate, and develop their individual insurance expertise to the fullest extent.”
A Target Markets member since 2002, Networked has built strong, direct working relationships with several association members. Among them are ACE, AIG Programs, Everest National, GE Commercial, Great American Executive Liability, Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Travelers, and The Hartford.
Networked manages its affiliate base of agencies through regionally branched territorial sales vice presidents. These sales executives possess an in-depth knowledge of the local market and the agencies they serve. They are supported by underwriting teams that know carrier underwriting appetites, and are able to differentiate and delineate the unique benefits of carrier products and services.
