AIG Program

What is your value proposition? How do you distinguish yourself in the marketplace? After more than 25 years in program business, we have found there are three key components that create longevity of programs:

1. Program administrators with intense expertise

2. Program administrators who have created highly tailored and customized coverages, risk management and safety services, and claims management programs

3. Program administrators who placed their program with a financially secure carrier

As a successful program administrator, you have demonstrated expertise in the intricacies and nuances of your customers’ business. You have attended numerous industry events and meetings, and likely have insured their members’ business on a direct basis at some point in time. Many of you have been involved in operating a business of this nature, or know people who do. You have solved problems that have affected not only clients’ insurance but how they run their business successfully and remain in compliance.

This intense expertise has allowed you to accomplish the next critical component. You have created highly tailored and customized coverages and rating schematics programs that truly fit the specific needs of your customer group. You recognize the need to develop specialized risk management and safety services, and have your own risk manager or a consultant who provides the necessary expertise and service. Even if you don’t manage claims, many of you have hired claims professionals who serve as consultants to your customers on high-value claims or in monitoring trends to aid in developing risk management and safety service support.

You recognize the importance of having consistency in your portfolio, and you seek a financially secure carrier. You need a carrier that has the financial stability not only to pay the claims, but to augment your expertise and to support the necessary work in terms of risk management, safety services and claims.

AIG Programs proudly hails our 105 program administrators and the professional attributes they possess. We have program administrators who have been with us for over 20 years. We once again honored one of our long-term program administrators with our prestigious Dan McMahon Award for Underwriting Excellence. Joe Cribari and Kathy Palmer, representing Smith, Bell & Thompson, from Burlington, Vermont, accepted this award at our 19th Annual Program Division Executive Producer Conference. We are proud of our relationship with the Target Markets Program Administrators Association and its drive to give program administrators their own name and voice within the insurance industry.

Since its inception in 2004, we have conferred the Dan McMahon Award for Underwriting Excellence three times. All three recipients are active members of TMPAA. Smith, Bell & Thompson joins Carter Insurance Group and HCC Specialty Underwriters as recipients of this award.

AIG extends them our hearty congratulations! *
