THOMCO Key programs administered: retirement and senior care; health & fitness clubs; charter and private schools; entertainment facilities Greg Thompson, THOMCO’s chairman and CEO, and current president of the Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA), is excited about THOMCO’s continued expansion of new programs and niches. “We do not believe that it is an option to stay still in the marketplace,” Thompson points out. “Growth and expansion create great opportunities for cross-selling and employee growth, while lessening our dependence on any one program or market.” THOMCO has a very straightforward business model: to develop an expertise in high exposure program niches that standard markets shy away from. Every year, THOMCO adds new programs both by acquisition and by identifying, researching, and implementing new program niches. In 2008, THOMCO has already implemented, or is currently implementing, the following new programs: • Charter School Pro The Charter School and Independent School programs are geared toward the smaller charter and private schools. The enrollment in these schools will average approximately 250 students. Package coverage for all lines, including workers compensation, property, automobile, general liability, and inland marine, is provided. Customized coverages such as educator’s legal liability and sexual abuse/corporal punishment are also offered. Personal Care Home Complete provides liability coverage for small assisted living facilities, typically fewer than 10 beds. This program rounds out THOMCO’s significant presence in the retirement and senior care industry. Finally, THOMCO’s Mini-Golf Center program provides a comprehensive package of coverages for entertainment facilities whose principal feature is a mini-golf course. Exposures such as batting cages, bumper boats, go-carts, and arcades, among others, can be covered. Independent driving ranges are also eligible under the program. The programs shown above are offered in addition to the following long established THOMCO programs: • Childcare Choice As Greg Thompson emphasizes, “Our goal is to be a major player in each of our program niches.
