Chicago, IL-based Geo. F. Brown & Sons, Inc. has announced it has hired Tom Wiedemann as the company's newest broker.

Wiedemann will report to Geo. F. Brown & Sons, Inc. President Mark J. Strong and will have responsibility for cultivating current and new relationships with retailers throughout the greater Chicagoland area. One of his top priorities will be to target the needs of regional and national brokerages where we have tremendous opportunities to grow.

"Tom possesses extensive experience in the placement of large, national and international property, casualty, umbrella, excess workers' compensation and public entity accounts. I am excited to have Tom on board and the potential he brings to the agency," said Strong. Wiedemann previously served as Vice President of Business Development for IRMG, an AON Corporation. He also held management positions with Burns and Wilcox and Marsh, Inc. He earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Wiedemann resides in Northbrook, IL with his wife, Deanna, and two daughters Rachel (9) and Kate (6).

Francis L. Dean & Associates Announces Two Additional Offices

Francis L. Dean & Associates, a national underwriting facility specializing in sports and entertainment insurance has opened two additional offices simultaneously. The company is currently headquartered in Wheaton, IL and maintains independent office locations in Ft. Worth, TX and Centennial, CO.
