NIP Programs
From glass to green, grow your business with NIP Programs
NIP Programs manages insurance programs underwritten by A+ rated (Company Size XV) carriers, including AIG and Travelers. As a division of NIP Group, a specialized business insurance and risk management intermediary ranking among the largest 100 nationwide, NIP Programs focuses on specific industries underserved or overpriced by the general insurance market. The company President, David Springer, has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, much of it in executive leadership posts with large national programs.
Focused expertise
NIP Program’s flagship is LandPro® TreePro™, a custom commercial insurance program for landscapers and tree service companies. As the largest and fastest growing national program of its kind, it currently protects more than 2,000 businesses nationwide. Designed and continuously refined by the firm’s landscaper and tree service insurance experts, it features a broader coverage portfolio, expanded class size and eligibility, and specialized coverages, including limited jobsite pollution, as well as E&O protection for unique exposures, such as cutting down the wrong tree, spraying the wrong property or over-spraying.
This year, the division launched two new programs: GrowPro™, which is specifically tailored to the needs of lawn and garden centers, nurseries, florists and greenhouses; and GlassPro™, a comprehensive program designed to serve glaziers, glass dealers and installers. Springer explains how new programs are developed, “We’re an established company with a strong and deep entrepreneurial spirit, so we’re always looking and listening for opportunities. GrowPro was a direct response to our brokers’ request for specific coverage for their broader ‘green industry’ clients.”
In addition to aggressively identifying opportunities and establishing strong market relationships, it also takes an experienced team to provide flawless execution. Springer’s leadership team, with over a century of insurance management experience between them, comes with an impressive array of accomplishments in the areas of underwriting, compliance, and program administration. “Having a long and successful track record of managing programs has actually made it fairly easy to attract and retain top talent,” notes Springer. “I continually hear from our brokers how the level of service and expertise they receive from our team has been critical to them winning and keeping the business.”
Relationships and growth
Those long-term relationships are a particular point of pride to both NIP Programs and Springer. “While we’re always looking for and acting on new opportunities, I know that it’s our established relationships with top markets, and year-over-year consistent performance that provides our brokers with a stable and predictable book of business.” That strong marketplace reputation and long record of profitability has enabled NIP Programs to continue to look for new programs even as they launch GrowPro and GlassPro. In addition to listening to the retail community, Springer notes the importance of involvement in the Target Markets Program Administrators Association. “It’s the best conference for program administrators and suppliers and TPAs serving the program administration community. The convenience of having all the key decision-makers available in one place is unparalleled.”
Such opportunities will serve the organization well as it continually strengthens its programs and identifies new ones. As Springer looks towards the future, he knows that relationships are key to NIP Programs’ continued success. “We value the chance to do business with other successful professionals—agents, brokers, carriers and vendors—who share our enthusiasm for serving clients and filling market needs where they exist.” → |
