Based in Abilene, Texas, CIC Insurance Brokers, LLC, is one of the leading companies specializing in the staffing industry in the country. Founded in 1974 by C.T. Kelly, CIC has 25 years of experience specializing exclusively in the staffing industry and is one of the only firms specializing in this niche market nationally.

In June 2009, C.T. Kelly announced his retirement and that he was transferring leadership of the company to Mike Watson, who was named president of the firm.

“I am pleased to be able to turn over this organization that I founded 35 years ago to Mike and the staff’s capable hands,” said C.T. Kelly, CIC’s long-time president.

“And I am happy that C.T., with his depth of experience, will remain as a consultant during this transition period,” said Mike Watson.

In addition to Mike’s business savvy, with 28 years of experience as an accountant and C.P.A., CIC will also rely on the staffing industry expertise of: Sage Maroney (Senior Underwriter) and the underwriting staff of Linda Sherman, Sarah Grosbeck, Sandra Hallmark and Nathan Hathorn, as well as Shelby Krider—Director of Marketing, and Michelle Snyder (accounting).

As it has since its founding, CIC will continue to specialize in all types of staffing—temporary staffing companies, medical staffing, employee leasing (PEOs) and employment agencies.

“As a company that specializes in the staffing industry, we try to keep our finger on the pulse of the industry in order to know the trends and how the economic climate affects it,” said Mike Watson. “We write a sizeable book of business with a major carrier and can therefore provide proposals best suited to each client’s individual needs.”

Our coverage includes a complete package of general liability, property, and inland marine. Optional coverages of crime, additional bond riders, errors and omissions, and umbrella coverage are also available. CIC also offers workers compensation, EPLI with E&O and D&O coverage.
