DeKay comes to Networked from Mendota Insurance Company where she was responsible for appointing and training insurance agencies. Prior to Mendota, DeKay served as a Sales Manager for Cabrillo General Insurance Agency, and successfully launched several new programs throughout Southern California.

RISC Adds New Broker Promotes Two Others

"RISC is pleased to announce the hiring of Martin Sommers to their Brokerage team. Martin brings with him 25+ years in the Casualty brokerage arena starting with Employers Casualty and worked subsequently with a couple Wholesale Operations in Dallas.

In addition, we would like to announce the promotion of Mike Lehde to Senior Vice President and Jack Bailey to Vice President.

Mike started in the Brokerage department with RISC in 2003 and has achieved many individual as well as Company goals during that time. His clients know that when they deal with Mike they are getting a very competent, service oriented individual who is always available for their needs.

Jack Bailey started his career with RISC in 2002 immediately following his graduation from Baylor University. After a six month stint abroad assisting Brokers at Lloyds of London, he has since been working in the Transportation Department learning the many nuances of that field. He is very conscientious, service oriented and works well with others.

Chicago, IL-based Geo. F. Brown & Sons, Inc. has announced it has hired Tom Wiedemann as the company's newest broker.

Wiedemann will report to Geo. F. Brown & Sons, Inc. President Mark J. Strong and will have responsibility for cultivating current and new relationships with retailers throughout the greater Chicagoland area. One of his top priorities will be to target the needs of regional and national brokerages where we have tremendous opportunities to grow.

"Tom possesses extensive experience in the placement of large, national and international property, casualty, umbrella, excess workers' compensation and public entity accounts. I am excited to have Tom on board and the potential he brings to the agency," said Strong. Wiedemann previously served as Vice President of Business Development for IRMG, an AON Corporation. He also held management positions with Burns and Wilcox and Marsh, Inc. He earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Wiedemann resides in Northbrook, IL with his wife, Deanna, and two daughters Rachel (9) and Kate (6).
