I am pleased to be able to say that as the Alliance's sixth anniversary approaches, both APT and SEMCI are not only alive, but thriving! Once again, APT and its member organizations have demonstrated that despite the many challenges encountered over the past year, the Alliance's strategy is working.

Beyond its dedicated employees, APT's single biggest advantage is the strong relationships we enjoy with other organizations equally committed to enhancing the industry's delivery system. It is because of our people and these relationships that we have consistently been able to deliver the quality products the industry needs to maintain its competitive edge.

The accomplishments reported in this Special Section and at the annual APT SEMCI Conference speak volumes about the value of SEMCI and the opportunities for further progress that are within our reach.
